Bring together a swarm of cyclists on a gentle rolling urban meal adventure.

ride-on-dinner is a mobile participatory performance experience that anyone can pedal to make a slow meal journey served from pedal-powered vehicles over the duration of an easy early-evening cycle. The Cultural Transports Collective initiated and hosted ride-on-dinners in Melbourne from 2006 to 2011. We learnt some tricks and developed an ethos along the way.

We offer the  ride-on-dinner RECIPE  to use however you like to make your own. A ride-on-dinner demonstrates simple pleasures in hospitality and local knowledge whilst feeling a link between human-scaled food and transport systems. Diners become co-creators riding relationships between individual human body, a temporarily collected social body and the body of the city. Pedal your power. First to roll up, first for dinner.
